HMSU Special Edition Holton Automatic
HMSU Special Edition Holton Automatic
The Holton Professional was developed in response to a request from a specialist branch of the military who demanded a fit-for-purpose professional watch capable of a life in the field. Every one uniquely tested at 200m in ater.
This bespoke vapour blasted automatic version, commissioned to celebrate the HMSU's 40th anniversary, is only available to serving or ex unit personnel and their service partners. It is not available to the general public.
In addition to your personalised engraving on the case back, every watch will be engraved with its own unique number. Note in the interests of fairness, numbers will be allocated randomly.
When the order book closes, the number of watches ordered at that time will determine the total number to be produced. From every watch sold, we are donating £40 to be split between Macmillan Cancer and Children's Hospice.
The order book will be kept open until 30th April 2020 at which point, this page will be closed in order for production to commence with the details locked down. The watches are expected to be delivered around 180 days later, during November 2020, and we'll keep you updated via email along the way as production progresses.

A precise 120 click high grip bezel houses a matt black stainless steel insert hardened to 1200HV (Vickers Hardness Scale), precisely embossed with hours and minutes indentations and flooded with high grade C3 SuperLuminova. The hobnail outer knurling is slightly higher than the insert to form a high grip surface for dependable operation even when using the palm of a gloved hand.
Beadblasted steel bracelet with solid links and screw in link pins, with concealed 2 stage divers extension section and luminous EB shield logo.
The recessed screw-down crown is located out of harm's way at 4H whilst retaining the water protection afforded by our proprietary seals.
Matt vapour blasted 316L stainless throughout
9H-3H 43mm excluding crown
12H-6H - 52mm max to tip of case shoulders
Maximum thickness 12mm
Easy to read at a glance day or night with military styling that’s relevant and familiar. The hour markers are bold C3-coated pyramids reminiscent of 1970s military dive watches, brought up to date with our trademark 12-3-6-9 cardinal graphics.
Clear differentiation between hours, minutes and seconds hands with minimal chance of confusion. Short stubby ‘sword’ hour hand, long slender parallel minutes hand with pointed tip that reaches precisely to the minute markers. The seconds hand has a fine blue tip and C3 filled arrow head counterbalanced by a dark gunmetal ‘lollipop’.
2mm sapphire glass with anti reflective coating applied to the inner surface to minimise glare for perfect visibility in all light conditions. Mounted fractionally below the hardened bezel to minimise the chance of the edge getting chipped, fitted using a black sealing ring.
Seiko calibre NH35 automatic with hack and hand winding, housed inside our proprietary shock protection system consisting of a steel housing suspended by elastomer shock absorbers.
Bolted down using hex bolts creating a perfect compression seal and correct tension for the shock absorption system. Multiple surfaces minimise skin contact for comfort.
The case back graphics are always aligned perfectly as shown.
