Beachmaster Redend Point Duo

We always wanted to bring you a more accessible brushed finish Beachmaster.

The Redend Point Duo are Quartz powered Beachmaster GMT watches made in satin brushed stainless with matte black and deep sunray blue dials, classically styled and deliberately placed at the more accessible end of the price spectrum.  They are inspired by an historic landmark, a sleeping giant named Fort Henry located just over the water from our HQ in Poole.

We absolutely love wearing our Beachmasters. They occupy a deep place in our hearts.

Early morning, throwing one on feels comforting, like an old friend, a quick time check, morning light bouncing back off polished highlights, not too ‘showy’, classy, comfortable, just so.

Daylight reveals detail, the wave pattern on the dial dances beneath the hands, the steady tick of the seconds hand constant, reliable, just working, no fuss.

Our military watches enjoy a status all of their own thanks in part to the thousands of elite user who select them, but that couldn’t happen without dependable quality and the unique protection we naturally build into every watch with our names on the dial.

Beachmaster carries all of that DNA and then some. It’s capabilities more subtle, hidden until you need them, classic lines holding your gaze. “Mine never leaves my wrist – I haven’t ever felt so attached to a watch.” Ian – Co-Founder.

We felt our task was to bring this patented gem of a watch to the widest possible audience and with a Swiss Ronda GMT quartz movement it’s much more accessible. The original quartz launch models have been a big hit from the off, demand often out stripping supply. All models enjoy the same case, same ceramic bezel, same movement shock protection system, same high grade bi-colour lume, same tactile click-lock inner timing bezel, same anti reflective domed sapphire etc. It really is a technical tour de force, whilst totally original in it’s capability.

We always had ambition to bring the brushed steel cases of the autos and marry them with a dependable Swiss Quartz GMT (Ronda) movement – call it intuition but what better way to celebrate the two steel cased quartz Beachmasters than with nailed-on classic colours of deep sunray blue and matte black dials each with perfectly judged  golden sandstone highlights.

You know we love subtle details and this duo share a lovely one in the form of the golden sandstone 12h bezel marker and Beachmaster logo who’s colour harks from Redend Point on which stands Fort Henry, the observation bunker at Studland, Dorset 4.15NM as the crow flies from EB HQ. The bunker was occupied by King George, Churchill, Eisenhower, Monty and Mountbatten whilst observing the largest pre D-Day exercise and also the largest live fire practice of the entire war.

Beachmaster is a truly remarkable watch – bringing it into the world was a landmark moment and for a relatively small team to have secured the first patent on an external watch timing function for decades, it always feels special. Wearing a watch with such high-end capabilities, now with the easy to wear classic brushed steel and sunray blue or matte black always feels special.

We’re not sure there has ever been a more capable watch for this kind of money so, job done in terms of bringing Beachmaster to a wider audience. What ever model you choose, you’ll most likely find people naturally asking you about the watch you’re wearing.. and that’s never a bad feeling!
