The Founder's Edition Beachmaster® Automatic is named as such due to the joint design collaboration between both of our founders. The increased line weight of the indices, mirror those of our Holton, the vapour honed case brings a different tactile, matt finish and the all black bezel and matching crowns give this version of the Beachmaster a more stealthier look.

Full Description

Beachmaster - our apex mission timing watch has been four years in the making and so original it's been granted a patent.

Named Beachmaster due to its mission timing story based around D-Day landings. Initially imagined in response to a request put to us at a Royal Marines event then honed into the most capable watch we have ever put our names to.

Imagine you’re nine hours out from mission start: simply rotate the split scale inner bezel using the upper crown and set it nine hours in advance of the GMT hand. The GMT hand will travel around the bezel scale, counting down towards H hour (- mission start) and then continue its journey around the second half of the split inner bezel, counting up to a rendezvous at a predetermined time after H hour.

As well as its timing functionality Beachmaster is also an automatic 'caller' GMT automatic with a jumping GMT hand as well as an external ceramic 60 minute uni-directional countdown bezel.

The Founders edition is subtly different to the other Beachmaster models and is more focused on functionality, with an anti reflective matte beadblasted case and bracelet and matte black crowns and bezel.

The hands are military-style 'sword' hands inspired by our Holton range for maximum legibility, and more X1 C3 luminous has been applied to oversize markers for maximum low light performance. The double triangle GMT/timing hand and external bezel marker are highlighted in our signature 'safety orange' which matches our orange straps perfectly.

View the watch at night or in poor visibility and everything changes. High grade X1 BGW9 Superluminova glows blue for mission timing and X1 C3 Superluminova green for normal time checks.

The case back is of course perfectly straight and true because it’s precisely bolted down, compressing the oversized seal perfectly whilst tensioning the movement shock protection system.

In the centre, the Beachmaster wordmark is deeply stamped above the wave NATO amphibious assault symbol. An octagonal frame represents the ‘spatial placement symbol’ from the NATO APP-6(C) Joint Military Symbology manual, used to control the proportions of all NATO battle space signage.

One turn of the high grip upper mission timing crown is all you need to feel our obsessive pursuit of detailed perfection. As the inner bezel moves, spring-loaded ceramic ball bearings click in and out of precisely machined chambers, securing the bezel precisely where required.

Delivered on a metal bracelet with solid links with screw in bars and a ratchet divers buckle in an exclusive Beachmaster case wrapped in dark green bookbinding fabric along with a black basketweave rubber divers strap with folding deployant buckle, tools to remove and adjust the straps, a Beachmaster challenge coin, and a serial numbered card.

Instructions

Use in water:
Ensure your crown is firmly screwed down before use in water. Please note that use in water with the crown unscrewed will void your warranty.
When used in salt water, give your watch a good rinse in fresh water turning the bezel to rinse salt from under it.

Second Time Zone:
To set the GMT hand to a different time zone, unscrew the lower crown, gently pull until it clicks to the first position, rotate clockwise. The GMT hand will advance in half hour segments aligned with the current time. Use the inner 24-hour track to set the GMT hand to your chosen time zone.

Mission Timing:
To count down to an event up to 12 hours in the future:
Align ‘H’ on the internal timing bezel to the time that the event starts.
The number of hours until the event starts can be read directly off the scale on the inner bezel in conjunction with the tip of the 24-hour hand.

The mission timing function can be used no matter where the 24-hour hand is set to.

Once the 24-Hour hand has reached H, it will automatically count up the other side of the scale to an event in the future, for example to rendezvous a set number of hours after mission start.

To count up from an event:
Align the ‘H’ on the internal rotating bezel to the time that the event starts.
The number of hours since the event has started can be read directly off the scale on the inner bezel in conjunction with the tip of the 24-hour hand.

To count down to an event up to 60 minutes in the future:
Align the triangle on the external rotating bezel to the minute that the event starts.
The number of minutes until the event starts can be read directly off the scale on the outer bezel in conjunction with the minutes hand.

Uncivil Engineering

Never before has a a GMT movement been used in conjunction with a split timing bezel, counting down then up from mission start over a duration of 24 hours. So original is it’s functionality it has been granted a patent.

Mission Timer Countdown

Count down to an event start up to 12 hours in the future: Rotate the internal bezel so that ‘H’ (mission start, H-hour) is the required number of hours in advance of the GMT hand.

Your mission countdown is now set and running. The number of hours until the event starts can be read directly off the inner bezel using the tip of the GMT hand.

Illustration shows 6 hours count down to ‘H' event start.

Mission Timer Count Up

When the GMT hand reaches ‘H', mission count up begins around the second half of the inner bezel. Illustration shows 4 hrs elapsed mission time.

This is particularly useful to rendezvous a number hours after mission start and for single or multiple time sensitive objectives up to 12 hours after mission start.

Alternatively, set inner bezel so ‘H' is aligned with the GMT hand to count up to 12 hours from an event.

60 Minute Countdown

EG. Count down to an event 40 minutes in the future:

Turn the outer bezel so that the number 40 is aligned with the minutes hand.

The number of minutes until event start (red 12h triangle on bezel) can be read directly off the scale on the outer bezel.
