How does your delivery service work?

We know how important it is to receive your goods when you expect them, especially if you have ordered something for a specific occasion so we use a combination of couriers who we have found to be the most reliable to deliver goods all over the world. Every method we use is as fast, reliable and economic as we’re able to provide you with.

For domestic UK mainland deliveries, we have a free of charge next day service for watch orders over £75

Highlands, Islands and International delivery times will vary depending on the item size and location.  You will be shown this information before you place your order.

During checkout, you will be shown the most competitive price for your shipment.
We choose the carrier we believe will deliver your order in the quickest time with the best reliability track record.

We also use an international tracked mail service for economic delivery of smaller items such as straps or fitting kits.  This service takes a few days longer but offers exceptional value.

For USA shipments we generally use UPS because we have found them to be the most reliable when it comes to dealing with USA customs. (See below for USA shipping info.)

We suggest you have your order delivered to a work address rather than a home address as a signature will be required. Goods are typically delivered between 9am and 5pm.

To enable us to provide you with the best possible delivery experience, we will pass on your contact details to our carrier partners. These details may allow them to provide you with delivery updates via SMS (Text) and or E-mail but they will not use them for marketing nor share them.

Providing the item(s) ordered are in stock, we aim to pick/pack/despatch your order within 48 hours of receiving it (excluding weekends).

Mainland UK orders are shipped on a next-day service.

European orders are shipped via courier. Delivery takes between 2 and 6 days depending on location.

Most shipping companies allow you to change the delivery details online if you need to request they leave it with a neighbour for example.

We are unable to amend any part of your order or change the delivery or payment method once your order is complete.

Will I be charged import duty and sales tax if I order from outside the UK?

USA Shipping Guide

Here’s how the taxes, charges and tariffs currently work on your purchase from us here in the UK into the USA. (Note: other countries are largely similar but with different import tariffs and sales taxes)

The published prices you see are 20% lower than UK customers pay because the UK sales tax of 20% has been removed based on your location. When your watch crosses the border into the US, our shipping agent (typically UPS) is tasked with collecting your local US state and City sales taxes, import duty determined by the US administration and a fee payable to the shipping company for their admin involved in collection and payment of the taxes on your behalf.

Watches with Japanese movements (Auto Holton for example) are classed as Japanese in origin, currently 15% tariff. Watches with Swiss movements (Quartz & Auto) are classed as Swiss in origin with 15% tariff. Our watch straps are predominantly Chinese in origin (15-20% tariff expected) whilst our Heritage Webbing and Zulu Alpha webbing collab straps are UK made (15% tariff). With the current volatile nature of tariffs, we will endeavour to keep all our information updated, but please do some research yourself if concerned.

To calculate the duty you will be asked to pay to the courier, check on the watch specifications where your movement originates from and check the current tariff rates on US Harmonised Tariff Schedule website. 9102.11 is the Harmonised Tariff code for an analogue quartz watch, 9102.21 is the code for one of our mechanical or automatic watches. However this is a complex process that appears to be too complex for US customs dept’s to work out by the book so…

At the time of writing, the tariffs are 15% for watches with Japanese and Swiss movements.  Please also factor in your local State and City sales taxes plus the courier admin fee for collecting and paying the taxes and duties on your behalf - typically $14 to $19.

We remain open and transparent to give you real, honest information and advice based on the tariff landscape as we are able to interpret it. Please get in touch via email if you’d like an estimate of the costs before your purchase.
