Prime Time Reviews - July 2026

Here in the UK, July has brought the kind of heat that empties offices, fills beaches and pushes people to find out what they, and their watches, are really made of.

Our customers, it's fair to say, have been making the most of every sweltering moment. When they finally found a bit of shade and sat down to tell us about it, what came back was honest, generous and more than a little moving. Here's what the people wearing our watches have been saying this month:

Great watch, great design great brand.
"I have a collection of every Elliot Brown watch. As a huge fan of the brand I was really excited to see the new direction with the California Collection. The Ocean Ombre is a great looking summer piece and arrived just in time for our holiday in the med where it fits perfectly. Sadly my wife has appropriated it and I've barely had a chance to wear it. I might have to buy another colourway for myself!"

Couldn't take it off
" I'm loving this watch. The dial is exceptional—both the colorway and the legibility are spot on. The lume color on the hands and indices complements the overall design perfectly, and the "drunk tank" pink on the rehaut is subtle enough to add a little personality without being over the top. I don't normally like California dials, but this one really works. The size and weight are just right, making it comfortable to wear for pretty much any activity. The strap strikes a nice balance between comfort and durability, with just enough texture to keep things interesting. I usually wear a different watch every day, but this one didn't leave my wrist for nearly a week after it arrived. That's probably the highest compliment I can give it."

Amazing, I love it!!!
"This is an amazing watch I bought it off a recommendation following a visit to the boat house. I own a canford and this fits much better on my smaller wrist and I don’t notice I’m wearing it. I love the colours and design and this watch makes me beam every time I look at it! What I’d really like is the option of changing the straps for some of the other colour schemes. I love it!!!!"

Easy to use, incredibly useful, smaller than you think, and built like a tank!
"Had my eye on a Beachmaster since its launch, and when the NIVO launched, I couldn't resist. David at EB very kindly walked me through how the different timing mechanisms worked, and once explained it really is very easy. So much so, i've already started using the 'H-hour' to keep track of various cyber incidents as part of my job role. Its surprisingly smaller than I had thought from the photos, I already have a Bloxworth and a Canford and its smaller than those, but once you've worn it for a bit, its fits perfectly on the wrist. This has since become my daily driver, and its ideal. Can't thank the team at EB enough, both David and Gemma were super friendly and helpful, and getting to see their watch showroom in Hamworthy was a treat.

Just What I Was Looking For
"Just the rugged GMT watch I was needing! I never know what I'm going to get into, so this Holton was the best pick for me. I just happened to be in the UK for other business, so I went to the shop and picked it up in person. What a great experience! They treated me like a long time friend. I can say I'll be revisiting EB again for another purchase- though this time I'll get there earlier so I can enjoy the coffee and the view!"

I'm so happy with my watch.
