The Canford Range

As one of the original Elliot Brown watch designs, the Canford typifies our watchmaking DNA perfectly. It’s quietly handsome, for those who don't want their watch to shout too loudly with the elegance of a pre '53 Super Compressor. It's the sort of watch you need never take off, no matter how tough the conditions or how smart the suit.

There are classic understated champagne metallic cream dials with subtle blue metallic hands through to high contrast black dials with matt gunmetal cases and ultra clear indexes inspired by military instrumentation. Case finishes include satin brushed steel, matt vapour-blasted gunmetal, and matt steel.  All 22mm straps are an easy fit for personal customisation.

The Canford's Swiss-made movement has a three year battery life and is secured inside a unique shock-absorbing steel movement housing. The 44mm case wears much smaller than it’s dimensions would have you think and is machined from solid 316L marine grade stainless steel which develops a gorgeous patina over time.

Domed sapphire crystal provides durability and clarity in all conditions thanks to multi layer anti-reflective coating applied to the underside.

The dial, hands and bezel are all flooded with long-lasting SuperLuminova for outstanding legibility in all light conditions. The internal rotating bezel is operated by the upper crown and is damped for a silent, glass-smooth action. It's perfect for simple timing duties from cooking count down time to counting up elapsed time from the start of an event.

Both crowns are fitted with triple seals to block moisture even when the crown is extended, while aggressive knurling gives secure grip even with gloved fingers. The ‘compressor’ case back is bolted down, not threaded, because it's the best combination of precisely orientating the shock-absorbing movement housing inside the case, keeping the case back straight and giving the best sealing performance.

We created a Special Edition Mountain Rescue Canford available to Mountain Rescue teams at favourable prices and who's sales generate £35 to MRUK from every watch we sell.
